Ten Sun Dresses, Short Tank Dresses and still shopping

June 14th, 2008

star-orchid-periwinkle   It’s hard to believe in less than one month I have acquired TEN dresses from
you, AND it didn’t break the bank!  I just wanted to send you a quick note
to say how lovely all of the dresses are, they are very comfortable and they
fit me like a dream.  In short, they are ME!  Some of the fabrics in the
middle order didn’t suit me, hence the exchange, but I have to say, as
online orders go, my batting average is off the charts.  jungle-parrots

Thanks a bunch,

The case of the missing

June 13th, 2008

suitcase Many of us who travel check our bags in at the airlines and wonder if we will ever see them again.

One way to help yourself is to take photographs of all your bags.

If your bags get lost in foreign countries, you will be able to show pictures instead of trying to describe them.

You should take photos of your family too, so that you can find your family if they get lost. That is, if you want them back.

However, it won’t do you any good if you put the photos in the bags you check in.

I needed shirts in a short notice for vacation and everything went smoothly except I ordered the wrong size. Even then, I got my new shirt on time by calling Mickey who was wonderful and very understanding. The shirts are awesome and Mickey is too. Thanks for making our vacation more fun!

P.S. I even learned a little Hawaiian language as you can see.

Surf’s Up

June 8th, 2008

Pineapples While serving in the Navy in Oahu back in 1943, we would turn on the radio after reveille at 5 a.m. to hear the news of the day.

The first announcement was “There will be pineapples in the fields today”.

That meant that the weather was right and the workers should go to work in the many pineapple fields that were on the island.

Now the morning announcement says that the surf is up.

MauiShirts.com Lives

June 7th, 2008

If the posted information about ordering, returns, exchanges, refunds, alternate choices, etc. bothers you, then you probably should be on another web site.

Please find the web site that offers free shipping with higher prices. Find the web site that offers clothing made in Taiwan and other foreign nations. Find the web site that only allows 30 days for exchanges instead of six months. If all the information posted on the web site is understood as “do’s and don’ts” you are missing the point and you need to exit the MauiShirts.com web site and look elsewhere.

My 50 years experience in business has taught me a few things. One, most people don’t know a good deal even when it slaps them in the face. And, two, I can NEVER satisfy all the people all the time. If you are one of those people that easily finds fault in all things, then please go away now.

Please shop at your local mall if you do not want to take the time to use the size charts. If you want to argue and be confrontational about shipping, shipping times, inventory availability, please don’t go away mad, just go away. MauiShirts.com is not the web site if you are looking for lots of hype.

All one needs to do is read my information before you make a purchase. If you do this simple thing, you will have a pleasing on-line shopping experience. If you do not read, as the drop-down dialog boxes request, when you come into the web site from the front page and when you visit the children’s pages and the men’s cotton shirts, you will, some of the time, have issues. It’s says it all here: “Please take time to read the important information about Ordering, Shipping, Returns & Exchanges. This should prevent most, if not all, issues or misunderstandings with your order”.

MauiShirts.com, Inc. does not publish catalogs and never will.
We never have sent, or will ever, send any post office mailings of any kind.
MauiShirts.com Inc. does not sell, rent or lease our customer’s names to anyone at any time and never will.

There is no hype or advertising of any kind on the MauiShirts.com web site. The web site is about 3,000 pages deep. You are in the right place if you are seriously searching for quality for Made in Hawaii Aloha Wear for your wedding, luau party, matching outfit photo session, bowling team, restaurant uniform, convention meeting and countless events and affairs. If MauiShirts.com does not offer you something you want within the thousands of web pages, then you are probably what is know as a curious window shopper or a bee-back buyer. None-the-less, the easy to navigate web site and friendly showroom personnel of MauiShirts.com is ready when you are to make a purchase.

Lahaina Mai-Tai Lounge Fills me up … AGAIN!

June 7th, 2008

Well, Maui travelers, let me tell you straight. I can’t keep my belly out of the Lahaina Mai Tai Lounge. If you are in Old Lahaina Town and you are meandering down Front Street you must stop in for a taste. All you got to do is briskly walk past the old-school style Kimo’s restaurant. Head further south a few yards on the beach side of Front Street and you will find the entrance to the new, refreshing Mai-Tai Lounge. You will be in for a pleasant surprise of Island Aloha.

The Rainbow Tower Sushi Roll  sushi  is Ono Grinds… (dats Hawaiian slang for super yummy food). Chop sticks.. heck no. I need a fork to put this into my mouth. So, I get me one of these big stacks and gobble it down lickety-split and then top it off with my second dish, the fish-taco-web Fish Tacos. And, then, cause I’m a big guy, I get the half order of finger licking Kealoha’ Baby Back ribs. I’m licking my fingers for days. I’m not too much into those fancy Island drinks, but check out the Mai-Tai Lounge Vintage Island drink menu. And, while you are licking your lips, here is the full Menu for your delight, and their specialty drink and wine list.
